Elevating Front Camera

To create the ultimate viewing experience, NEX’s front camera is hidden behind the display. When taking selfies, it elevates in just 1 second, then retracts automatically when you’re done.
Thanks to a new micro drive system – which includes a highly sophisticated microstepping motor, an independent driver IC and a precision control algorithm - the camera moves like magic; blending seamless aesthetics with clockwork precision.

In-Display Fingerprint Scanning

NEX’s In-Display Fingerprint Scanning is what makes the Ultra FullView™ Display experience possible. The fingerprint sensor is hidden underneath the display, giving NEX its sleek, futuristic look.

Dedicated AI Button for Jovi

NEX features a leftside AI button for Jovi strictly dedicated to a full range of AI services.
Just press and hold this button and Google Assistant is at your service. This is a convenient feature when you don’t want to be seen talking to your phone in public. And it is especially helpful when voice recognition is hindered (as in a noisy restaurant).
NEX also comes loaded with Google lens. Just point the camera and push the AI button. It will then look up the object online and display related search results and information.

Setting a New Industry Standard for Screen-to-Body Ratio

Technology

The latest ingenious innovations on NEX include a speaker system with no visible holes. Instead, sound vibrations are sent through the display, turning it into a speaker. This innovative solution reduces the top bezel without compromising sound quality.

Hidden Sensors

Thanks to advanced production techniques, NEX features a hidden proximity sensor. It’s housed under the top of the display and controlled with an independent IC - to ensure smooth operation. The result is just one less thing taking up space on the front of your phone.

Dazzling Design

Inspired by natural mother-of-pearl, we used nano-precision laser engraving to carve tens of thousands of dynamic color diffraction units onto the back cover. Four optical diffractive surfaces are cut onto each unit, and the nano-scale line arrangement of each surface has been repeatedly tested by aesthetic experts. All this ensures a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow - a blend of futuristic de-sign and natural beauty.

Google lens

Google lens is backed by advanced deep learning algorithms for an array of wonderful functions. For instance, it can harness the power of artificial neural networks - to identify both objects and landmarks, and increase Optical Character Recognition accuracy. It also lets you search what you see, get stuff done faster, and interact with the world around you. This means you can find products online, copy and paste text, learn more about landmarks, add events to your calendar, look up movie posters, identify common plants and animals, and more.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant is your own personal assistant. It's ready to help you get answers and get things done, hands-free. With Google Assistant, you can complete over a million actions—on the phone, in the car, and around the house.
Google Assistant is familiar with most everyday life situations - map navigation, online shopping, music and video, travel arrangements, even social media interaction. Google Assistant supports the most popular apps too, including YouTube, Maps and Line. Google Assistant can also help you with daily tasks, including making phone calls, sending text messages, checking the weather, and updating your calendar.

Game Mode

Floating Call Alerts + Background Calls: While you’re playing games, call alerts are displayed in a floating window at the top of the screen. If you want to answer, you can pick up the call and NEX will move the call to the background, without interrupting the game.
Auto Gaming Mode: Gamers can keep their game running in the background even after the screen is locked and turned off in this mode. This reduces power consumption and can keep your phone running longer.

Game Assistant (real time game status display): When playing games, you can easily activate your Game Assistant and gain shortcut access to various game functions. In addition, Game Assistant can optimize your game resources based on system performance and individual game features.

Industry-leading Antenna Performance

We know you like to play games in landscape format, and we designed our antenna accordingly. Now less of the antenna is covered by your hand, reducing signal drops*1.
Stay better-connected to 4G signals – even in underground parking lots, or areas with lots of buildings. NEX features High Power UE (HPUE) to boost single transmission and coverage area. Signal uplink speed is 30%*2 faster, when compared with ordinary antennas.
4 x 4 Antenna: Supports stronger signals, reduces gaming latency and delivers better overall performance than ordinary antenna solutions.
It also supports HORxD (Higher-Order Receiver Diversity). This means that even when NEX is held in-hand, it can still use multiple receivers to enhance signals.

Cooling System

For mobile game lovers, their phone overheating has always been a big problem, so at the beginning of the NEX development program, we made tackling overheating our primary concern. When designing the internal structure, heat radiation was always tested as a priority. In addition, we experimented with different heat conduction materials and invested hundreds of hours in simulated tests. The result is a revolutionary cooling system that keeps your NEX totally cool during prolonged periods of game play – even when running special effects.

AI Scene Recognition

Artificial intelligence helps NEX detect photo conditions and subjects. It then adjusts settings accordingly to enhance your individual shots. The result is food that looks even more delicious, explosive sunsets and flowers that practically bloom. Better still, over time the NEX’s artificial intelligence becomes increasingly accurate as it learns, further improving your photo results.

AI HDR

With a wider dynamic range (11.3eV) and greater exposure latitude, NEX helps you snap amazing photos with much richer detail even in backlit sce-narios.
Smart Frame Selection technology can decide the number of frames to use for combined photo results based on different photo scenes. This enhances shooting speed and photo quality in backlit situations.

P3 Color Gamut

NEX’s photos feature wider color coverage and P3 color gamut; giving you fuller, more authentic colors with every shot.
The 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display is also designed to support P3 color gamut. The result is astounding on-screen vibrancy and richer, lifelike colors.

AI Filters

Turn every photo opportunity into an artistic masterpiece. NEX not only in-telligently identifies photo scenes, it also recommends stylish filters accord-ingly.
