vivo Product Security and Funtouch OS Updates

English

Vivo is committed to ensuring that our products and in particular vivo´s Funtouch OS running on our devices are and continue to be secure. Same as we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to achieve highest security of any of your information on our devices from product point of view, vivo will update and optimise the Android operating system as well as our own Funtouch OS through regular monthly and/ or quarterly security and bug fixing updates via the devices´ own system update feature.

You may as well report any security issues detected to vivo by email using the address security_eu@vivo.com. We will take care of any issue reported, providing you with an acknowledgment of the receipt of the report and with status updates until the resolution of the reported security issues can be expected. Please keep in mind that in case of an Android related security issue, we will have to report the issue ourselves firstly to Google. If the security issue is related to vivo´s own Funtouch OS or hardware, we will provide you with a reply about our findings and the steps taken within one month after receiving your report. (Further information about security f the Android system can be found here: https://source.android.com/docs/security)

When a new update with security updates and patches or a new operating system version becomes available, your phone will receive a notification with instructions how to perform the update. You can also check and update the system version in “Settings > System update” on your phone at any time, or check the log information of the current system version. It is recommended that you update software to the latest system version soon to get the latest updates and improvements.

All vivo smartphones will receive 3 years of regular security updates and patches. Please note that the availability of vivo smartphone models in your own country may differ as not all models might be offered or sold in your country.
