♦ What is the use of Privacy password
The privacy password can be used to hide private photos and videos in Albums App, hide and encrypt applications. For models with Funtouch OS 11 below system, the privacy password also used as the password of File safe in File manager.
♦ Can the phone manufacturer provide Privacy password to user?
To protect your privacy, your Privacy password is only stored locally on your phone, and cannot be accessed by others, even the phone manufacturer.
♦ What should I do if forgot the Privacy password
1. Retrieve your privacy password through the security questions
Go to iManager > Utility tools / swipe up on the screen > App encryption > click "Forgot password", then you can reset the password by verifying the security question
2. Reset your privacy password through security email (For models with Funtouch OS 14 and later versions)
If you forget the privacy password and answers of security questions, but have previously linked a security email, you can reset the privacy password by receiving a verification code through the linked security email.
Please go to iManager > Utility tools > App encryption, or go to Settings > Security/Password & security > Privacy & app encryption, tap "Forgot password", and tap reset via the security email.
Enter your registered email address and click on “Get code”. Enter the received verification code and tap on “OK”, then reset the new password.
3. Clear your privacy password by restoring the factory settings
In order to ensure the security and privacy of your data, if you also forgot the answer to security question for Privacy & app encryption, at the same time there is no pre-bundled security email, the related data cannot be recovered.
If you want to use this function again, you need to erase all data to clear the password. It will erase all your data so please back up your phone before operation.
The path of clear all data of the phone:
Funtouch OS 11 and above version: Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data
Funtouch OS 10.5 and below versions: Settings > More settings/System management > Backup & Reset > Erase all data
* Note: If you have forgotten your privacy password, the data in Privacy Space or File Safe cannot be backed up or restored.
